I don't know if it was anything really all that special, It had an SA 53 barrel on it that had a nice and shiny bore, I'm trying to recall the SN, But IIRC it was in the high 4millions, All the metal looked well taken care of, Bolt and Trigger group were SA as well, I didn't think to drop out the trigger group... The only real poor looking thing was the butt stock, It didn't match and was a lighter colored wood compared to the hand guards which were a the darker walnut color.
The guy only wanted $750, Which I don't have at the moment, But it was at a pawn shop, So If I HAD to have it I'm certain I could put it on layaway.
If my wife will allow... :o I may stop by again tomorrow.

If the barrel is tight and the receiver is not a "reweld", buy it. If not, you will only kick yourself each time you see a $1200 IHC.

Sorry, I keep remembering things, I guess I may be just a little excited.
I remember the rear sight had the lock bar as well as the elevation knob had the (Up--> <--Down Battle \/ Range) on the side, Is this a type II rear sight?
I don't know if that is anything special or not.

Tight as in TE/MW or as in not unscrewing from the receiver?

Looks like a birch replacement stock and a lock bar sight IHC would have never used. But for $750-----you ought to jump on that mother like stink on s__t if it's not a welded receiver.
Just my own opinion.

You can tell a welded receiver if the machine marks on the bolt & op rod channels are broken up, and if the drawing# on the right leg does not match the serial#
