I have My almost all H&R M14 type in a Walnut H&R stock w/strong firing proof and crisp DAS,but recently tried it in a Winchester Big Red Birch and now I don't know what to do.I like it to look all service Rifle-ee,but that Birch is way thicker and feels better in the hand.I do have some Winchester parts for a future build, but I'm torn with using it now. What do You think?

I think that you had better get busy and build the second one and use both stocks.

I've got everything but the most expensive part.I'm gonna have to save long and hard for that receiver.

Whos receiver(s) have you been using? I was going to go with Fulton for my build.

My Receiver is unmarked by a maker, but research showed it was made as part of a group buy for Macks Guns,by Armscorp circa 1988,or '89

If I ever do a build I'm probably going to go LRB. 7.62 will be my second choice.
