CLEAN IT????? how dare you suggest such a thing! This is an American relic. Besides, the tax payers really own it. It's not your choice to make

If it were me, I'd clean it up really nice and tuck it into that beautiful red birch stock and handguards that you are selling. I personally have no need for that stock but I keep going back to look at it as it is a heck of a deal for a fine looking stock.
