Dupage stock, finished

Finished up fitting a stock today and tried a new stain process. I think it is a touch on the brown side but this one is not for me. This will be going to a new home at some point. What say you?

I have been using Dupage stock sets for many years, and have found them to be excellent; they are made to the USGI profile, have beautiful grain, & finish up nicely, + they are priced right. They really dress up an M1. The CMP uses these also.

For grain this one was very nice had a couple extra fit issues. Still not sold on the brown but it might change a bit once I get a few coats on it.

Tim, No not for me, for the M1 For Vets rifle I mentioned, just getting there slow.

Looks great to me, I like the color too. You need a buttplate, screws and swivel? I have a repro set I got in a trade awhile back, yours if you want it. Anything else you need for it?

To be honest beyond the above the only thing I am short is a few more donations for a repark. Will be shooting it this weekend and make sure everything else is ok and it groups.
