Anyone garden??

Used to have a tiny plot between my two homes but with plenty of land on our new home I decided to start with a 25' X 25'. Tilled it the other day and went down 8" Today before the rain hit hard I got a yard of Top soil in and a yard and a half of Humus. Going to till it in in a few days if the rain allows me. Put in 4 Raspberry bushes also and just came in from setting to 4x4's for grape vines I transplanted from a friend. I have to set 6X6's for the garden next and fence or the deers will get the vittles. Rick B

I watch my neighbors garden while I clean my guns. :)

My wife said she REALY wanted a garden so I got to work. Dug, tilled, mixed, composted, buried dead fish, and planted seeds. Next thing you know I am in the produce isle picking up what’s on the list. And I stopped at the farm up the road for sweet corn.

The tomatoes and beans were good though.

Been gardening since I was a kid. Still have probably 40 qts of green beans, 20 qts of tomatos, chili and salsa from last year. Still have corn in the freezer, too.

I can tomato sauce and peppers. I have a recipe anyone will love. Here are the little ones starting to pop their heads up. Rick B

I've got 18 various pepper plants and at least 60 tomato plants growing in my reloading room. Looks like I may be putting the first batch of tomatoes out in a week or so.

If you use hot peppers it is really good and for kids you can use banana peppers not hot. I have used all kinds of peppers also for fun and just about any will do. Rick B

Fence is done, door is on, grapes are sprouting as is one of my Raspberry bushes. Seen the first Humming Bird of this year also about 15 minutes ago. Rick B
