View Full Version : I Witnessed A Awesome Sight!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the bad economy I had the day off today.
10 minutes from my home was said to be the largest assembly of B-25's since WWII.They were there for a celebration the 70th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo.
At 7:00 25 B-25's took off to go to Wright Pattersons Airforce base,the sight ,sounds and smell was Awesome!!! Was able to stand less than 100 yards from them

The B-25 is my favorite WWII bomber!

I never really cared for the tail design of the B-25. Maybe it's because my grandfather was on a B-17 crew and we sorta grew up with B-17 pics, but I have always thought the B-17 was the prettiest bomber

There were 25 planes
Talking of B-17's they are rebuilding one there , I havent been in to see it yet.

WOW.. that is an awesome sight. I love going to the museum at Wright-Patt.
I haven't been in a few years and need to get back there.

Fantastic! I was at an airshow several years ago and counted something like 22 mustangs. My Dad said I probaly would not see that many at once again. Thanks for the pics. I bit it was emotional. Thanks again.
