small Paddlefish caught

Went on My annual Paddlefishing trip Today.I was sore as heck,but the only one to snag one in Our party.For those that don't know,a Paddlefish is a large fish that eats plankton and leave the lakes each Year 2 spawn,so You snag for Them with large rods and treble hooks

That is indeed an ugly fish. Your daughters are growing quickly; the last time I recall seeing a pic of them they looked much younger. Do they spend time in the outdoors with you?

Indeed! We always trim off the red layer of meat ( it's been a few years but IIRC, it's red) filet the white meat & roll them in a beer batter & deep fry!
What's your recipe, PH?

I go to the Missouri breaks at slippery Anne area,never been to Glendive or anywhere else.After that red meat is gone I smoke some,and par boil chunks and dip in butter and Garlic.Very similar to Lobster.I let the Females go,and keep the smaller males because You get more white meat.
