Picked this up as a promotion present in 2008. Kimber Pro CDP II in .45 acp. I carry it IWB in a tucker holster. It has grips from sarge's grips on it now, in a wood I can't remember the name of.

It's something citizens are allowed to have in states that don't practice socialism like Illinois.

I hear your governor promised to veto your bill. Same thing happened to the castle bill in Ohio, but the legislature overturned it.

Our CC bill finally made it to the floor of the house last week. The debate was sickening. Madigan ruled it would have to pass with a 3/5 vote, or 71. It got to 68, then fizzled. Only ONE legislator south of I80 voted against CCW, and it still lost because of all the seats in Chicago and the burbs. The bill is still alive due to a technical move made by the sponsor (a democrat, believe it or not), now it seems the focus has turned to a few court cases that may make it all the way to SCOTUS. We'll see what happens.

RH,

I live in Raleigh. I had a turkey permit for some game lands outside of Jacksonville. It was really nice Friday and wet/foggy Sat.

Do you have a strong CCW lobby?

Ohio has had bills stall, but OhioCCW.org is an awesome lobby, they mail petitions and letters and make phone calls to their representatives to show support. Once the restaurant carry bill gets passed, they'll have one of the strongest CCW laws in the country.

I hope the restaurant bill makes it this time. Its ridiculous, as I remember most of the CCW states allow it. Its illegal to CCW and be under the influence now so whats the difference? You should see the news reporters talking about this. They will show people sitting at bars drinking then talk about how the bill will allow people to CCW in them.
All it will allow is you to walk into a restaurant that serves alcohol and be able to protect myself and my family. Nothing else will change, I still cant consume

It must be some sort of miracle, but here in left-wing whOregon we have pretty good gun laws. Unfortunately, being the rail-thin lead singer in a metal band, I can't hide a 1911 in my all spandex and skin-tight leather wardrobe.

Have your tailor sew an elastic band in your g-string and simply replace the socks you usually stuff in there with the 1911. Problem solved and now you will actually have a dangerous weapon down there.

In my neighborhood, you wear a fanny pack and you're gonna need a gun!

Ever see Spinal Tap? Seriously, I am more than a little on the bony side, and I never saw a good way to carry the 1911 unless I'm wearing a heavy coat.

My plan was to carry a Glock 30 during warmer months, and my 1911 under a coat. So much for that idea.

Texas just passed a bill that has the liberals foaming at the mouth. You can now carry on campus and in the classrooms.(college) Texas is a little tired of all the liberals that sold their property in Cal moved to Texas and are now trying to convert Austin into another San Francisco.

I carry the Kimber Pro Carry II. A fine pistol and with the inside the waistband holster comfortable. It is the difference between gold and diamonds.

We can carry here in restaurants/cantinas around here as long as they do not derive 51% of thier revenue from the sale of alcohol.
Sig 226 or 229 or XD is my preferred carry weapon .

I use what is commonly called the Mexican carry, I just stick it in my belt in back if i am in a hurry or use a belt slide holster as my badge saves a lot of hassle when some one notes I am armed. I do cover it with a long tailed shirt but the 45 makes a clear print so badge is attached to belt in front. If I ever retire I am in deep dodo as the badge goes with the job.

In Kentucky Carry gun is one half of the guns you're carring with you at any one time. Generally we try to carry two when we go to Cincinnati. The bro's kill about one a night two some nights, it's like the wild west on Saturday night.
