CMP Demilled M1

Has any one of you had anything to do with a CMP demilled M1? I am curious as to how much was done to deactivate it and is it possible to restore. I had a few that were issued to ROTC units and they were fairly easy to restore. I am ready to go the CMP route if they followed the ROTC M1s.
Any information would be helpful in deciding on the project.

I'd only buy one if I could inspect it first. Some of what I saw a few weeks ago at the NS was beyond hope.
