HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have a whole pan full of BG's that I could not get the pin in. I have tried drilling out the hole, & it does not work.

You could try a slight chamfer on the end of the pin, or chamfer the side of the BG hole that the pin enters. I don't think the BG is a particularly stressed part, (statically or dynamically), so I can't see how adding the chamfer would increase risk of failure of the BG or pin, or accelerate wear in any non-negligible way.

I'm confused and you must have a rifle that is a bit off or something unless these are Newly manufactured???? They are clearly not lining up from what it sounds like or are you saying when out of the gun they do not take the pin?? Rick B

They don't line up in place

I am assuming you tried them in another rifle of course. Are the able to be hammered lightly to bend into place and still work? Rick B

If you force it in, it will not work properly, & the rifle will not recycle. I have tried to drill the hole out bigger, with mixed results.

If the pin fits in the bullet guide when it is not in the rifle, then it's obvious that the holes in the bullet guide and the receiver are not lined up correctly. Have you compared a known good BG to the defective BG ? Put them side by side. Are the holes lined up ? Do the bends in the bullet guides match. Instead of drilling to enlarge the hole, maybe you can slightly bend the BG to get the pin holes to line up.

Sound's like a tossed batch that was taken as scrape and someone saved them only to sell them many years later. That is a shame. Rick B
