Shark tossing anyone?

Found this guy on the beach Saturday. I grabbed him by the tail and flung him back into the ocean. The surf wasn't cooperating the way we'd have liked so he "took it on the chin" a couple times, but I eventually got him out there.

Looking at it with a bigger picture I say it definitely looks like a bonnet hammerhead.

I've seen a small school (3) of scalloped hammerheads on the wreck of the Atlas tanker (N side of Cape Lookout Shoals). Anytime you see an NST (non-sand tiger) shark in mid water it gets your attention. The hammerheads look every bit as awe inspiring live as on tv!

Yeah.. Pretty sure it's a bonnet hammerhead.

As for the dolphons stuff... I thought it was always called "Floggin the Dolphin".

hmmm.
I wonder if that shark will remember your good deed if you ever meet up with him at some point in the future. Will he recall that random act of kindness, or just be wondering if you taste like chicken.
