Looks great. Is the barrel WW2 as well? Stock? Just curious about other details.

Unfortunatly no. The barrel is a SA-12-51 and the stock is an SA replacement stock. most of all the other parts are correct for the rifle the bolt is from 1940. Plus I am a little unhappy with the lock bar on the sight. It's a type 3 but someone rounded the edges to it either to smooth them out or make it look like a type 2. I might change it but I don't know.

You should'nt have a problem getting another lockbar. They are not to hard to find and not that much $$. Wish I had known a little while back, I had spares and could've given you one. I only kept two and both are dedicated to projects already.

Thanks Dave I'll probably look around so far I have only seen the whole pinion assembly but I'm sure there is just the lockbar out there somewhere. The other problem i'm tackling is I would realy like to send the stock to tim to put the appropriate cartouge on it. But it's got a DAS on it now

I bought parts from this guy when he had a table at the Allentown gun show. I was happy with all the stuff I purchased.

That DAS stock is too nice to screw up by putting a different cartouche on it. I would personally get another stock set to send to Tim and keep the DAS for a postwar project.

Yeah thats probably the best things to do. It's a good looking stock so I would definetly use it on another rifle
