Welcome to the forum,
You're starting off with a nice collection. What was the question about the IHC stock ?

The IHC gun I acquired did not seem to have much wear on it at all. The stock has no markings on the outside of the stock it has a 4 digit stamp on inside channel. To me it does not look like stock had been altered or sanded but I ma no expert.
specs:
# 4460_ _ _
Stock inside marked 1722 outside none
Barrel P LMR D6535448 3 53 A9 P M
Op Rod D6535382 IHC
Trigger Group IHC D6528290
Safety IHC
Hammer IHC C-5546008
Bolt D6528287 IHC

If the stock date is correct, it does not match the barrel date, not even really close.

Is 1722 the 172cnd day of 1952?
What would be a more correct date?

According to my figuring the stock was stamped on June 20th 1952.
also as a side note i found this:
The rarity of stocks with barrel channel numbers ending in "3" for 1953 is very easy to explain. The number in the barrel channel is presumeably a Julian for the date the stock was produced, not a Julian date for the rifle was assembled or rifle accepted. Overton had no problem producing stocks at the very start of the contract. Overton produced more than enough stocks for the early stage of IHC production. IHC on the other hand had lots of early production problems. A stalling of production led to a backup of early dated stocks. Because there were so many stocks backed up at the assembly site, there was no need for Overton to produce many stocks in 1953. As IHC production problems were straightened out and the backlog of early stamped stocks were finally used up and Overton had to start producing more stocks for IHC in 1954 and 1955, hence the large number of stocks with barrel channel numbers ending in "4" or "5". Really a little more complicated, but this addresses the observance.

That stock COULD be original to that tractor gun. It's ok to have early parts on a later gun but not the other way around. That is a rather early IHC by the way. My guess is the stock is ok. Some were not stamped on the outside and some were very lightly stamped and the stamps have just been worn away from normal handling. If I may ask, what'd you pay for the tractor gun?

I'm no IHC dude, not at all, if the Julian date was done at production and not at fitment, no worries.
