Tim,
Have you ever produced a non-G garand in 35 Whelan?

No sir. Easy to do though. Send your barreled receiver right to Clearwater reboring. http://www.deltagunshop.com/clearwater_reboring/index.html
Tell them you want them to throat it too.
When you get it back, add a Schuster, start with very little gas, start shooting.

Tim,
Are any mods necessary for feeding the 35 Whelen? Can you load a full enbloc, or maybe just a partial enbloc with a Holbrook device? Thanks.

Depending on how deep your bullets are seated, you can load 5 or 6 rounds. No other device needed for standard Garand except schuster.

Tim, is there a noticeable difference in recoil between 30.06 and the 35 Whelen?

To bore it, throat it, and ship it, I think they charge about $300 or so.

You would not have a crappy .308 barrel laying around(not an E Barrel)? I may now be able to see my 8mm Garand come to being.

I get lots of 30/06 barrels but I don't ever get .308 barrels.

Tim
Do you think there is enough meat left in an E barrel to get that extra 6mm in chamber length?

Axe man, I would ask whomever would be doing the barrel work. I really couldn't say.
