Ok, so tonight I'm perusing a web site I frequent, and there's an auction on a 'lil firearm I've considered but never bought. The highest bid is about $150.00 under normal price and 15 minutes left to bid. So thinking "hey I KNOW I WON'T win the bid I'll up it a dollar". Well as is the case all too often, I WAS WRONG!

So I suppose I'm the new "proud" owner of a Beretta CX4 Storm in 45 ACP.$auto$ I've always kinda wanted one but never REALLY intended to buy one. SO I went ahead and ordered a Streamlight TLR 2 laser/light for it. Figure I'll keep her loaded and by the bedside, be a good home defense firearm. Don't really need to worry with killing the neighbors if I ever use it here inside house.

So has anyone here ever played with one of these? If so give me your take on my new 'lil gun!

I've never seen one in person, but I always kinda liked the idea of it. It's sort of a modern M1 Carbine or Thompson. The Beretta is a little modern looking for my taste, but I'd imagine I'd get over that quickly if it shot and handled well.

Then again, I like light recoiling carbines...they're like .22s, but way more expensive to shoot, haha.

Mag insert is in the handle. There's a review of a CX4 in 9mm on YouTube, once you get by the fellows 'lil intro it's a pretty good clip.

The 45ACP seems to be limited to 8 rd mags, but I think it'll be a fun carbine to have around!

The CX4 with an Aimpoint scope was used by the Colonial Marines on the remake version of Battlestar Galactica. It's futuristic looking enough that it didn't look out of place.

When the Storm first came out, I put one on my "wish list", but kinda forgot about it. Now I want one again!

KK, the rifle arrived today, but my FFL dealer is also a FF/Paramedic. He was on duty today but couldn't transfer the firearm to me. I did get to "fondle" it :)

I was shocked! It really feels well built! What I mean is it has weight to it and doesn't feel cheap! So probably about friday I'll get a chance to run a few rounds through it. So far I think I'm gonna love it!

Well so far I've run about 500 rds through the Storm.$auto$
What do I think? I LOVE IT! ;)
No failures , no jams just 100% fun! Plus it will shoot "minute of man" offhand at 100 yds 8 rds center mass is a no brainer! The open sights work well, I don't have all my parts yet. Gonna trick it out with a Streamlight TLR-2 light / laser also putting a Eotech with a quick release bracket you can't co-witness the Eotech with the supplied iron sights, so if Eo fails it will be easily and quickly removed. I've ordered a few extra mags and can't wait to get everything on it and sighted. I did Chronograph some 230 gr Winchester (personal defense) loads today. Average velocity is 1040 Fps. SO the 16.5 barrel adds a 'lil ump to a very potent rd.$clapper$
I'll get it all set up and then try to do a video, yet at the very least I'll post pics when it's complete.
