Service Grade Score of the Year?

Saw this linked to from the CMP forums. Guy says he ordered a service grade Springfield and received a International Harvester. Didn't start at the CMP forums but none the less.

now, knowing what i know about shady back door deals and thievery at the CMP, I WOULD absolutely believe that he knows someone that works there and they packed it up and shipped it to him.

TWO THINGS:

1) am I the only one that noticed that the font on the "2012" is not the same size as the "July 24" on the certificate?

2) assuming the cert (see above) and the invoice are not doctored, it confirms what I always knew - CMP runs scams and back-door deals all day long that the CMP worshipers choose to ignore. I would have absolutely no doubt that someone on the inside slipped that IHC out the back door to one of his buddies. Anyone remember "#2"???

Hmmm...the Invoice is for an SA rifle with that serial number. I can see how that would be easy to get confused. NOT!!

The COA looks doctored to me. The serial number, and the number 24 in the date look like they were photoshopped in as a cover up. I don't believe it. Back door deal there, for sure. I definitely call bullshit on the ten day turnaround.

Edited piece: I read his comments on the CMP forum. He sounds sincere so if it is a prank or back door deal, it has me fooled.

Question:

So if I buy a 42" HD TV from the big box store and they erroneously ship a 98" HD TV, is it right for me to keep it?

Oh well,
I know I won't have the same kind of 'luck', so I'm not going to get worked up over it. I'm working a deal with a fellow re-enactor to trade his mix master IHC for one of my WWII era rifles. If that falls through, I'll just keep looking for one. I'll eventually get all 4 manufactures covered. Just maybe not as fast as I would like.
