Yes, it seems that numerous states now want voter to produce picture ID at the polls. The Right Reverend The Honorable Doctor Al Sharpton Esq. LLC said yesterday that this is a racist move by the white man to keep blacks from voting? I had no idea that blacks were denied picture ID in some parts of the country. Besides, how will the black panthers and acorn function if every person they escort to the polls to vote several times was required to produce picture ID? It's racist. The aclu is suing of course.

We had a recent local election where a russian immigrant ran for office. Well, we got a taste of how the russian election system works. Very fair system. The dead, comatose, obtunded, and incompetent all got to vote in that election. Oh, and no picture ID is required here. Just tell them your name at the polls, or just point to one on the list.

I voted in my most recent election August 7th. I was asked for ID I said "do I have to have that by law"? The answer was "yes". I said that is great news, here's my ID. The voting official then said, "See, someone else who thinks this is good law".

Pennsylvania passed the voter ID law a couple of months ago. All the crybaby libs were going ballistic. The law was just upheld in Commonwealth Court. Of course the aclu is appealing to the state Supreme court. Right now the Pa Supreme court only has 6 judges, 3 republicans, 3 democrats. The 7th judge, a republican, is under criminal investigation. If the appeal stays along party lines, the law will still be upheld.

Sorry to dump in your Wheaties, but this is from Michigan.gov

Do I need to show identification in order to vote?
Michigan does have a voter identification requirement at the polls. Voters are asked to present an acceptable photo ID such as a Michigan driver's license or identification card. Please note that voters who do not have an acceptable form of ID or failed to bring it with them to the polls still can vote. They simply sign a brief affidavit stating that they're not in possession of a photo ID. Their ballots are included with all others and counted on Election Day.

I really fail to see why people are against showing an ID when voting.

"I really fail to see why people are against showing an ID when voting. "

Honest working folks, most Republicans and people here legally generally don't have a problem with it. It's the other groups that seems to be opposed. Since a huge number of them have lost their voting privledges or never had them to start with, they feel it is 'unfair' to be excluded. The libtards feel that having to show an ID that they don't have now, never did have or is probably fake if they do just makes it too hard for these folks to participate in the democratic process.

Libs are against it because they are libs and thats what they were told to be against. The vast majority of 'em have no idea what most issues are about, they watch Rachel Maddow and parrot what she says and to hear words to the contrary are like sunlight to a vampire.
