Well as you fellows may remember last year I bought a 14" TC Contender in 44 mag, to deer hunt with. I put a Burris Scope on it and the one shot I had...........I blew it:(

The problem I have with scoped handguns is eye relief, I'm sure those of you who've tried know what I mean. It's a PIA! So I found a buddy who had an Eotech and with a 'lil horse trading I picked it up at a very good price! Eye relief is a non issue and according to Eo's tech staff it'll easily stay together under 44 mag recoil. So I'm headed out the door now to sight the scope in and see if I think it'll work.

I'll post my results and thoughts later this afternoon! The hoser

This should be interesting.

Ok so the "pinpoint accuracy" a scope offers isn't there with the Eotech. From 100 yds I just had to estimate the center of target. Yet I thought it acceptable. I love the eye relief factor and it allows for a much more flexible shooting position.

The green is 12" the tape was to help me make out the center of the target. The covered holes were sight in shots fired off bags resting on my bench. The other three rounds are inside a 8" circle (just barely) these were shot sitting with pistol resting on my knee.

Target accuracy? HARDLY! Venison in the freezer accurate you bet ya! Plus I'll go out and practice between now and opening day of gun season. The really cool thing is I have a little 6" rubber reactive target for handguns and I was able to bounce that rascal all over the pasture offhand out to almost 50 yds. So I'm very pleased!
