Ok guys I am sure this has been asked and answered several times but here goes again. I try not to keep mags loaded and if so I change them out now and again but what do you guys do? I want to have a few AR AK and glock mags left loaded for long term. I never fill to capacity if that helps, Thanks Tom

IMO it doesnt hurt to leave them loaded. I would think a spring would wear more from use than leave loaded.
I may be wrong?

O is right, springs wear from use. I've seen M16 mags, loaded full for 30+ years, operate 100% reliably in both semi and full auto. If there ever was a true case of spring "set" I would expect to see a spring that was either in a fire, a flat spring or completely rusted.

It's the spring cycle that wears it out not the compression. No harm leaving
'em loaded.

I leave them loaded and only when I am going social do I put in a freshly loaded mag.
