Just curious ,anyone every mod their Garand trigger to 4lbs or less?

Don't do it, I've done it and all you get is uncontrollable bump fires. Go under 3lbs and you have pretty much full auto.

I have a trigger that someone has over modified and measures in at just 4lbs
Though I would try it just to see how it goes. I can always bump it up .5 lbs or so

Orlando, you can "bump" it up more than .5lbs. Funny thing about trigger jobs, the very slightest little burr on that hammer after you do it, you have a false reading. I've test fired triggers a good 10 times after a trigger job and had them stay put only to have a customer send it back because after a few shots the trigger lost its weight. It's and easy thing to fix but it is frustrating. A darn jewelers loop would be needed to really know that the hooks are perfect and there is no debris to cause a change in weight.
