So much of the attention goes to the Garand and Carbines, but the 1911 is a great weapon to collect. The bad thing is that the prices keep going up and up.

Lets see some nice 1911's to drool over. I will start off with several from my collection.

She was too young to make the Big Dance the first time around, (1918) but she got prettied up for WWII with a GI repark. (except for the take down and the safety)

Rats! I can't post pics of mine as I am computer challenged and the grand kids run off when they see me at the computer. I have quite a few 1911s I would love to show off. I was able to do that on the old forum but I guess I will have to just wait and admire yours.BTW got my first 1911 when I was 13. Bought it off a sailor in San Diego after the gunny checked it out to insure it was not on the "Most Wanted"list or something to that affect.

Nice pistols so far, here's mine.

First up, my Dad's sidearm from the Pacific.

I bought this because I did not want to shoot my Dad's anymore. I love drop in accessories.

Heres my Remington Rand that I rescued. Someone had polished and blued it. I thought I would just keep it as is but I couldnt do it. I had to have it returned as close as possible to right finish.
It was a labor of love as I know I have more in it than it is worth since its refinished
I'm not expert on these but I "think" all parts are correct??

How well does the Les Baer .45 shoot compared to the other 45's in your collection?

The LBs cannot be beat, I had 4 Wilsons and kept the Baers when I started heavy into Colts. Premier 2 for about 1300-1600 is a great buy for a 50 yd. gun. JMHO.
