I'm a happy Mini G owner with the Shuster gas plug / smith brake combo. I find that after a couple of mags, my Smith brake is wobbly and the plug needs tightening.

Here comes the dumb question. . . .what tool do you guys use to tighten the plug and keep it tightened? The M1 combo tool doesn't fit and I haven't found a flat head screwdriver with a wide enough blade (that doesn't require it's own carry case:-).

I use a giant screwdriver that is ground down to fit.

In my opinion nothing works better than a 1/4 inch drive extension and ratchet
Fits perfectly and you can get as tight as you need

Okay then, I use the cross type. I'll check it out bro. I've never had the inclination to try the 1/4" on the Schuster because I can't even get that cross tool that's made to fit in it.

it's a bit of a snug fit Timmy, but it'll work.

Thanks to everyone for all the responses! I may try the 1/4 socket and see how that works.
