I finished her up this morning. I hope you guys like her all SA parts some post war and now I can't wait to take her for a spin. Probably next week. Thanks to everyone for the tips and advice. Your all the best here. One more comes back to life. And no the bolt is not lapped :)

Nice build but you do realize it's dangerous don't you? I would'nt go shooting it until you gage the receiver with a stretch and bridge gage, and verify proper lug contact. These old rifles are notorious for the left bolt lug cam surface to be out of spec.:D

No it's cool man I stretched a rubber band from the left lug to the clip latch. That S.O.B. aint goin no where.

Love the wood, and you even got a lockbar. Very nice! You did well, Sir.

Thanks yeah I just think the rifles look better with the lockbar. I know the post wars are better but they just don't look as nice on them. just my opinion.

That bolt may not have been lapped . . . by you. This is the perfect example of the lapped bolt epidemic. It could have been lapped one or more times in the past. You might be holding a timebomb to your cheek next time you go to the range. Govern yourself accordingly.
