Need scope suggestions

..For a Remington Model 700 in .243 win. Suggestions for rings and base would be appreciated. Most shooting will be at 100 yds or less. Hey, my eyes are not what they used to be so I need all of the help I can get.

I will use it mostly for target shooting. Not ruling out the possibility of hunting small game/varmints with it though. Would like to keep the setup (scope, rings, bases) under 350.00 if possible.

I've had good luck with millet rings for the $$$. They also make a compact DMS that is supposed to be pretty good (now that they have worked some bugs out of production). The DMS is a 1-4 x 25 with an illuminated reticle.

Primary Arms also imports some knock-offs that reviews seem to favor. I have a buddy who has the Aimpoint H1 knock-off on his turkey gun and it's held up over the last couple of years. He's shooting a Mossberg 835 3.5" so the scope is taking some recoil!
