Can anyone tell me what would cause 6 o'clock clip ejection? One of my garands consistently ejects the spent clip to 6 o"clock...the clip was hitting me in the forehead, I replaced all of the springs with a new set, now the clip hits me in the top of the head...anyone have any ideas??

The clip is ejected by the clip ejection spring. I'm taking for granted that you replaced that spring. I would check the timing of the rifle as well.

Which way is the clip supposed to go?

That's why I always wear a hat when shooting the M1 rifle. More than once or twice the clip has landed right on the hat and stayed there.

Jon, if you put a cup on your hat that would be a neat parlor trick!
