Recently ran across this magazine -fed Garand and wondered if this was one of Tim's. It is in 7.62 with a barrel Stamping "7.62 Nato M11" over an earlier stamping And "48353 A191A P"

Stock looks like an M-14/M1A.
Any opinions about this one?

I wish I could, Tim. Currently at an on-line auction and pretty much what you see is what is available, information wise.
I *think* the "M11" rifles were made by a guy in Georgia - but don't recall this moment. I don't recall hearing much bad about them though.

I thought it was that guy in Virginia that died a few years ago. I forget his name.

I think the "M11" is a barrel stamping. It may relate to the type of 7.62 barrel it is...ei, whether it has a 7.62 x 51 chamber insert or is originally chambered for 7.62 x 51.
I've googled "7.62 x 51 M11" barrel stamping, but am still trying to figure out what it means. I'm a bit concerned that it appears to be an overstamp of some sort.

Wasn't the guy's name Bland or something like that?

Yes his name was bland and i believe he has passed. I remember seeing some of his work on another forum.

Thanks for posting that. Saw that post some time back....kind of a good history of M1G mag conversions.
