I've been meaning post this for a while. I got my Garand back from Shuff's this past October, but I finally got it out to the range and ran some HXP through it at 100 yards. It shoots pretty well. Not bad for a barrelled receiver that CMP labeled as "bad". This rifle started out as one of the CMP's barreled receivers they had for $150 back in 2009. Now it's got some life left in it thanks to Tim.

That's because I forgot to take the clip off the handguard when I boxed up the metal to send to you. Oh well. No worries. I got an extra clip that is NOS. I don't know why I didn't put that one on before I took the pics.

BTW, I'm putting together a couple more rifles to send your way as soon as I can scrape together some cheddar.

i really like the "OLANGAPPO" ammo pouch,i have one in O.D on mine and they make a really nice product.

Yeah, I like their ammo pouch too. I also picked up their Grab & Go Pouch as well. Pretty handy kit.

And I need to clarify something....as I was digging through a file drawer in my gun room I found my original invoice for this barreled receiver from CMP. It was a $100 b/r I got in 2009 that was labelled as "bad"....not "$150" like I said earlier. Either way, I'm happy with the results.
