Another with solder

On the thread Hump posted for the DAS pic I noticed a tiny dot of what appears to be silver solder (last pic) just behind the rear sight. That is the third time I have seen this, including the CG I sent back for several large spots of solder on it.

Anybody have an idea where it comes from?

It really could be something so mundane as the stacking area for the Garands being under a bench that the soldering guy worked on to fix some machine. It could also be something more gun related but I doubt it.

I have a mint WWII Springfield buttplate with a blob of solder stuck on it good. Came from the CMP.
