Cleaning up some cosmo covered gas cylinders today and was surprised to see a National Match cylinder. Even more so when I found a DOD ink stamp on the bayo lug. Never saw one ink stamped before, doubt they last very long probably get rubbed off easily
Anyone ever see one before??

They used that ink stamp on the M14 bypod also.It didn't seem to come off.

LP you are right I have seen them on m14 Bi Pods before. Original M16's had them on the front of the mag well but they got wore off real fast
Just never saw one on a gas cylinder before

I would have thought the rear lug would have been beveled being a NM???? Anyone know??

I don't know why it was not done,but I have seen it before.Perhaps they came like this and an individual armorer would remove the edges?
