Well fellows I finally got the new Bushmaster "Predator" upper broke in per the instructions. Fire x number of rounds , clean, repeat....you know the drill. Anyway during the "break in" I found I didn't really like the 6 position stock so I ordered an A2 buttstock from "Delton" (Thanks Orlando everything I've gotten from them has been first rate stuff).

Ok so new stock installed rifle broke in it's a beautiful day for shooting, color me gone! I'm headed out to site the rifle check out my groups, test the loads I've worked up etc!
I have the Leupold AR scope mounted, it is preset for a 55 gr bullet @ 3000 fps. I set up my bench, my bags and rifle, carefully place my chronograh 15 yds away, chamber a round get on the scope squeeze the trigger and......

#$%&^^$#@@$%%^% Just smoke the shizzznitz out of my chrony!$Svomit$
Yep should have just stayed home!

Bright side is I went ahead and sited in @ 100 yds. Wound up getting a 9 shot group that measured < 1".
7 of 9 tore a 3/8" hole in target while I must have pulled two rounds that struck almost a 1/2" from the others.
$bomb$
Thrilled about the groups, sick about the senseless destruction of my chrony!

Been using this chrony for about 6 or 7 years now. Its been a running joke between my buddies and I, "wonder who will shoot the chrony first?"

DING DING DING DING.....WE HAVE A WINNER!

Oh well this happened about a week ago and there is a brand new one on a UPS truck headed this way right now! Plus I've got some extra parts now in case I break something! LOL

Figured you guys would like this one, notice my windage was pretty good! Elevation.......well it speaks for itself....LoL

Man that sucks! I had a buddy do something similar to the bed of his truck when he was shooting a coyote down in a gully. It left 3 or 4 nice bullet holes in the opposite side of the bed.

May the crony RIP.

It does look like you need to adjust the windage seveal clicks though. Might of been a direct center top hit. sorry, I could not excuse myself. That does suck though.

Beeeeaaauutttiiiffffuuuuuuuuuuulllllllll! Nice work...

On a side note, DelTon has been very good to me. First met them at a gunshow and bought my first AR from them. Kassandra and her husband (always seemed to purchase from her) run a top notch business and prices are RIGHT. They got so big they stopped doing gunshows... bummer.

Yeah that's a bummer.

I've heard nothing but good about Del Ton

Please post up when you take your upper to 300 yds and beyond.

I did something like that once with a nylon range bag that I was using for a rest under the end of the barrel - bang bang bang bang ba-POOF!! Zipper, nylon, paper target fragments all over the place. Ruined a near new bag. Bought a shooting rest after that.
