For the fellers who reload, what kind of loads are you shooting out of your Garands? I don't have an adjustable gas plug.

I load up 46grns of IMR4064,and #200CCI large rifle primer and My favorite plinker uses Hornady 150gr FMJBT.For Hunting rounds I use Sierra 150gr PSPBT
these are intermediate loads.and I find them to function very reliably in all of My M1's.

I run 47.3grains of IMR-4895 with 150gr.FMJs for practice loads, 46.5 grains of IMR4064 with 168SMKs for matchloads in service-rifle, 46 grains and 175SMKs for high-power.

I use a mild load 46 gr Varget, Nosler 168 match, win primers.
i use it in several Garands & 03's. Works for me:)

Here are my favorite loads for the garand:
46.2 grains of IMR 4064 or 45.5 grains of IMR 4895
168 grain Sierra BTHP
Winchester WLR primers
HXP Brass trimmed to 2.484"
C.O.L. 3.300"
They are easy on my shoulders and accurate if I do my job.
