My wife of 38 years found out she has breast cancer a couple of weeks ago. She discovered a lump and a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy confirmed our worse fears. Linda being a nurse had a pretty good idea that the lump was different than the fibroid tumors she's had in the past. Surgery is going to be March 27th with followup chemo and radiation. Now for the good part if there is any good part when dealing with cancer. The tumor is localized and doesn't look like it has spread, the type of cancer she has responds extremely well to chemo. She discovered the tumor quickly while it's still stage one. The prognosis is good for a full and complete recovery. Here is what I'm asking of you my BT friends and Tim, please keep Linda in your thoughts and prayers. Secondly have your lady folks mothers, wife, daughters, sisters do breast self exams and have lumps or abnormalities looked at immediately and schedule regular mammograms. I'll keep you all advised as we go through treatment.

Good luck to you and your wife, will add you to our prayers.

Mother died late last year of epithileal cell cancer after 19 months. oth parents did a LOT of juicing and mom SWORE that pickle juice helped get her platelet counts back up after chemo so she could keep getting treated. Doc was pretty impressed, she wasn't supposed to make it past the first summer, about four months.

Fight, fight hard!

You got it Bill.

Catching it early is the key. My Aunt found a lump decades ago (caught it early), had the mastectomy, and has been in great health ever since. I hope your wife experiences the same after her treatment.

Prayers going your way and feel your pain. Make sure you are there for here at all costs. My wife did the same last year and doctor opted for tomoxaphine over chemo after they removed a good chunk of her breast. They felt they removed the cancer enough for this. She went in for testing Thursday and waiting to see if she is clean. Rick B
