I have a 30-06 USGI barrel I'm thinking about selling, but I'm not sure on the price. Tim took it off of my M1 I had him convert to a Mini G and put a new Criterion barrel on. It came off of a service grade CMP rifle that I handpicked at the Anniston store. It was a long time ago, but if I remember correctly, it gauged TE ~3 and ME ~2...much better than most of the correct grades I gauged that day. I've put less than 50 rds through it, so it won't have eroded more than that. Any suggestions on a price point?

What year is the barrel? I am assuming it is a post-war barrel. I have bought 4 barrels over the last year. I have paid between between $70 for a SA'52 barrel and $212 for '55. If you want a fast sell I would say around the $150 range.

The $70 barrel was a lucky auction win, it is more like a brand new barrel.

It's a '54 SA.

I beleive it would be correct for a late 4.3mil SA or early 5mil SA. I would hold onto if for a while, see if you need any other parts and do a trade.

I thought of holding onto it, but the only Garand I have is a Mini G, and it has a brand new barrel. I'm pretty well set on spare parts, but I could use the cash for ammo, or maybe put it towards another firearm, like an AR-7.

It all depends on how many M1's you might end up owning :) I would make an offer but I am all tapped out on the parts fund. Good luck to ya, I am sure it will sell.

If you have enough spare parts, buy a receiver and build a rifle.

I would hang on to it for little longer...Prices are going up almost every week with the new demand for M1 parts.
