Just returned from a road trip to the North Store.
Picked up two barreled receivers/bolts and one stripped receiver.
No field or service grade rifles to look at so a turned my attention to the above.
They had a very good selection of barreled receivers.
I found one very good six digit receiver w a "new" 2/55 barrel TE 2 ME 1. Doesn't have any pitting and the lettering is strong. The parkerizing is scuffed a bit on top of the receiver ring. Once reparked this will be perfect.
Also found a 5.4m post war with a "new" 1/55 barrel TE 3 ME1. Again no pitting serial number strong but other lettering a bit weaker. But not bad, still readable.
The stripped receiver is a 2.03m and is almost perfect except for a very tiny pitted spot on the edge near the heal. Barely noticeable, strong lettering.
If anyone is going down from up north be aware that State Route 2 is closed before you get to the power plant and the detour is a "pain". Suggest a different route.
