The parts are almost all here. My 1903a4orgery can now become manifest.10241025102610271028
All I need is a scope mount or 3/4 Weaver rings.

1029Here she is again. I have two problems, one The Weaver V8 on it right now touches the hand guard. That is not a big problem as It will get the Weaver 440 that is in the photos, when I get the proper mounts. The second is the bolt wont close all the way. The bent bolt I have from the doner rifle was bent really close against the stock and had a longer groove. I need to think on this one.1030

Mike, you're going to have to get out the torch, file and grinder and massage that bolt a little. Way wrong shape.

Stu
I know what needs to be done, just a little scared. Also I no longer have access to an acetylene torch. What to do what to do?

104610471048OK Stu here are some pictures to show we are still friends. The Numrich bolt was a little clunky and not as correct as I would have liked. Thank God for a dremmel with a barrel sander!!

That looks like the real deal now. You must engrave REPRO on it so future generations will be protected.

I was thinking the same thing, don't want to be seen by future generations as a fraud. Now all I need is to polish the grind marks and refinish. Well that and get some way to mount that Weaver 440. I can not believe that there are so many people looking for 3/4 weaver rings that I would be in a bidding war on every pair I see.

A possible option, I am presently bidding on a set of Weavers on ebay. I have a spare set of Warne QD rings here somewhere I could use these in!

What did you do? Hire a giant 3 toed sloth to assemble this thing?

No Stu, and you have not called me that since that night.
Ran into problems at work that have kept me to tired to finnish. Also the bot needs more work, The weaver 440 sits very low and the bolt handle does not clear any more so I need to break out the dremmel again. Do not want to show any more till it is finished.
By the way did you tell me you had an 03 action wrench, or do I need to buy one?
Mike
