Re-designed Schuster lock screw?

Ad in Sept 2013 American Rifleman shows a new design Schuster adj lock screw, plus one for the M1A. What does the re-design fix?

September 2013 American Rifleman, page 44. Schuster's web site <schustermfg.com> does not picture the same screw pictured in the NRA article??? Maybe the same screw redesigned to allow tightening with a 1/4" socket wrench?

It doesn't look like a re-design to me at all for the Garand screw. Same I've been using.

They redesigned them a few years back with a locking ring. That may be what they are refering to

Bad call on my part. It looked different because the adjustment screw is backed all the way out, probably to show how it works.

Those are just like the adjustable gas plugs Clint Follower designed. He retired about three years ago so I'm sure they just picked up his design, as he used an adjuster screw and then a lock or jam screw.

I think you might have the cart before the horse, the chicken before the egg... Whatever the scenario, even though it is my understanding Schuster was around first, it is also my understanding that John Garand had one as well, and we know he was first.
