DRC Stock Ferrule???

This is a new one on me. I was going through
some parts today and found a stock ferrule stamped DRC. First I have seen one, anyone else?

I never saw one like that before. I would question why a legitimate manufacture would stamp a piece so haphazardly. Maybe some guy just stamped it for fun and to confuse the garand community.

I found info in a article in the "Garand Stand " publication that was made by same company that made sight knobs DRC, Druge Brothers Manufacturing
Also confirmed by Rolling Thunder on CMP forum. I would guess they didnt make many as no one including me has seen one before

I found out they are USGI part. Must have been replacement parts as none were found on original rifles

I meant Bill Ricca would probably know the details. I think he knows it all.

Ricca knows alot but have found he doesnt know everything. I'll ask and see what he says

"I was suprised a few years ago when another fellow sent me a picture of that. I suspect it is a replacement contract,but do not know for sure."

Yes "The Garand stand"by Billy Pyle. Good little magazine,I did subscribe, but I msut have let mine lapse. I think it comes out every quarter.
