Tim or anyone who knows - from where do you get your whelen barrels? Are they new or rebores? Just curious.

I know of no new M1 whelen barrels. I send mine to clearwater re-boring.

I just wondered - I've thought about having a rifle rebored before, but I've read it's a hit or miss proposition. Obviously you've had good success with it.

So far 100%. I have a lot of donor barrels to volunteer for the operation though, if one doesn't make it through surgery, I just send another.

Tim:
What rifling twist do your Whelen barrels have?

I use 1-12 but they do what they're told.

So the barrel is rebored and still looks like a stock item?? I don't know much about that caliber, except it is supposed to hit hard on the pointy end? Plus you can order the twist? Interesting thoughts..Og.
