People still find"Bannermann Modified Rifles"today.I have seen pics and they are quite unique!

I remember the Bannerman ads when I was a little kid. I also took my boat up to Bannerman's island.

My how times have changed!!!

You are not kidding. I was born at sort of a turning point around here. I was born in the '50s and it was a different world. There were four gun shops within a few minutes of my house. In Manhattan, there were Fine gunshops, that catered to the bloomberg budget types, Abercrombie and Fitch being the most famous. That was the days when they were outfitters, and not importers of made in china T shirts.
This city has been invaded and conquered. First by minorities and second by the people that pander to them.

I once owned a Spencer shotgun marked "Bannerman's". Also, my father took me to Bannerman's in the 40s when I was about 8. Imagine a huge gun store smack in the middle of NYC today ?

My 1902 Test luger was from there. He got them from the US military once they were done with them. Rick B

The American Eagles were made in 30cal 7.65. The Cartridge counters made for the US were in 9MM. They only had three 45 cal and two exist today. That would be a neat piece. There is a guy making them in .45 Rick B
