View Full Version : Do we have any good options on a Mini-G Synthetic Stock?

I have seen some discussion on here about synthetic stocks for a Mini-G from a few years ago. I have a ramline in the box I bought years ago for a full size and never used. But I hear accuracy on those is not great. I'm not sure if they can be 'fixed'.

Is there any good options out there for a synthetic stock on a Mini-G? Just looking to lighten it up a bit, and synthetic for the field is never a bad idea IMO.

Thanks
Justin

In a simple, concise, one word answer, no.

Hi Tim,

I heard these guys used to make them, but from what I read on forums they haven't been mentioned in years, so I figured they went the way of most Garand synthetic stocks and discontinued them.

They seem like a quality outfit. So I emailed them if they still make stocks for the Garand. A bit pricey, but I'm sure I could save my pennies.

This was my reply:

Hi Justin,

Yes, we make them in fibeglass.

They take a week to make up and cost $359 plus shipping.

Handguards are extra.

How does that sound?

Do you have any experience with this brand? Do you think it would be something that you could build a Mini-G in. I have parts ready to go for a 308 mini-g, (with a standard parts drop down cylinder if that matters for this conversation). I also have a Walnut stock finished, I just seem to be on a synthetic kick at the moment. I wrote back and asked him for some pics, as well as how much fitting is required on these.

Thanks,
Justin

I have no experience with the brand but it sure doesn't look like something I'd want.

Yeah I noticed that too on the pricing. It's 359 then you have to paint it too..

Thanks for the input. I think I'll skip it.

I've got a Bell & Carlson and it's fantastic! Maybe an email/phone campaign could persuade them to re-start production?

Thanks. I've emailed them, no luck. Might take a lot more push than just one man. I'd start a petition at change.org if I was not fundamentally opposed to anything even remotely associated with the usurper.

I found one in the $300 range from a custom stock maker. Just haven't wanted to swallow that pill yet.

Interesting, looks more sporterized. I wonder how stiff it is and what the accuracy is like.

Looks exactly like the Ramline to me, right down to the configuration of the checkering. Perhaps they are Ramline?

BTW, I came across this, and it also looks like the same stock.
