Hello, new guy checkin in. found this site by accident last week, shipped my M1 off today to get the mini G conversion. now it will get used instead sitting in the safe for years. lot's of good info on this site helped me make my decision, Thanks.

Curious, what's your reasoning for not using the Garand in its original form to begin with & what you hope the conversion will do to allow you to get more use out of it.

I' m a rancher here in north idaho, fullsize garand is awkward on horseback,i was going to cut my M1A down to 16"but the mag is a problem ( scabbard) on horseback, i think the mini g will be perfect, it will be used every day, we will see .

Curious, what's your reasoning for not using the Garand in its original form to begin with & what you hope the conversion will do to allow you to get more use out of it.
