I've been away from the M1 Garand hobby far too long and having several barreled receivers I would like to start a build. Are there any sources for part kits?

Sarco Maybe. They have 308 parts kits advertised on their site. You could not use the barrel. But they are like $500, your not too far from a CMP FG (525) or SG (625) at that price.
You're best bet might be to assemble the parts yourself, or hand pick a drill rifle at one of the CMP stores for most of the parts.
Get a Sarco BM59E kit and send the whole mess off to Tim for proper assembly ;)

I wouldn't buy from rawpain if he had the last garand parts on earth. plus, his "finish" is some crappy blackener that comes off on your hands like shoe polish. Even if he learned to parkerize, he's still an a$$.
$495 for a complete parts kit is not a bad deal. you aren't going to get anyone to sell you one cheaper, that's pretty much a given. I sold a few earlier in the year for more than that and I stopped selling as complete kits because I could split it up and get closer to $750 for the same parts.

Generally speaking, purchased individually, you're looking at:
op rod: $125-$200
trigger group: $100
rear sight: $75
internals: $75
clip latch: $35
bolt: $75
gas cylinder/lock/screw/sight: $90
stock metal set: $90
lower band: $20

Bought twice from rawpain and both times it was garbage and had to pull teeth to get a refund. He ships crap that he advertises as nos.

I sold a couple earlier in the year for $350 and $400 ea. I had people beating my door down begging for next inline if I had anymore. I sold I think 3 kits, $400 was for a HRA.
