We need to be ready when OREST puts the SPAm cans on sale..Help me watch..??

Guessing it will be in the spring, BUTT, Orest has a few 100 thousand Spam cans stored at CMP..I want at least one of them..I drooled all over the screen today looking at that huge pile of crates..But i am always late to the gate on sales??

I thought Orest said they were not going to sell the spam cans until they run out of the loose stuff first.
With the recent price increase causing some people not to buy anymore HXP from CMP, I suspect the current inventory
of loose ammo will last a while longer.

I'm sure Orest is going to put limits on the number of spam cans you can order so there should be plenty to go around.
I won't be ordering any. I stocked up on spam cans years ago.

I havent bought any HXP from CMP since they started selling the loose floor sweepings. I have enough to last me for awhile then will either handload or use Prvi

$45. a can,,OMG,,I would have really stacked that DEEP...I could not qualify for the CMP as to the club membership then, It was $500.00 a year..to belong to shooters club, and i can fire in my back-yard at will?? Anyway, I still might try for a can when it happens? I have enough to use already, Esp if I convert over to 7.62 on my main garand? Back to CMP, they really crack me up. If I belonged to the privelage HOT-LINE bunch, I would be broke Cherry-picking the nice toys..Defintely be very tempting..Reading up on API ammo over there..Never even saw any of that in the Guard...and i was in the ammo section for quite a while...Shooting propane bottles, with API,???Yuuummmy.

250 round metal link cans were put on sale today. $100 + $11.95 shipping. They didn't last long, maybe 4 hours. At just under .45/rd it was a good price compared to the 200 round loose stuff.

I went over and did some reading, turns out the stuff that was 100 plus shipping was corrosive ammo so I don't think it was too good of a deal at almost 50 cents a round

The description stated it was linked HXP but it is actually linked AP (various manufacturers and years on each belt).

There were only 300 cans of linked. An email or prior notice would not have worked for such a small amount of product. I guess I am one of the "some" because I originally ordered 6 cans. I was lucky enough to see it in stock so why not get as much as I could afford (if the description was correct) at ~.45/round?

I bought some of their Ap at the Ss store this fall, My first and only trip..It was half corrosive...some 1943, which really is not great to be shooting in nice rifles..or Else cleaning afterwards...The Very last thing I need is a Squib load to blow up my barrel or entire rifle while i am holding it..I still would have tryed a can..I guess now that i read this , I need to sharpen my computer skills?

Cuppenlocked, I guess you were just Lucky even at Six , you may not get them..They were ordering them at 25 cans each and some may have double ordered?{50 cans}/Since Orest rewrote the description,as Ap , not HPX..,then some stopped their order, and cancelled, now i have made three more trips trying to find a can on the list, which pops in and out today??wish me a little luck here. Og.

I went back over a dozen times trying to get the one can..No luck yet..OREST dis reguarded my posting this time. Simply stated there were no limits and most people were buying 1 or 2 cans???Yet, I read of 15-25 cans simply because of no limits..I hope the greedy ones get the OLDER DEN 43...Not to be a sore loser, buttt.. Okay < FRUSTRATED was the real word for it...I get excited about small things sometimes.Putting it in print is not always best..Cuppenlocked, I don't know you yet...But yes, The capitalist way is to buy something and sell it..If you don;t have to store it or have a storefront then you can sell it cheaper..The American way is to buy what you want..Yes, Greedy No,,so Then you take something scarce, and offer it up for sale, and sell it...SA-LA-VEE.Buy all the Garand parts up, make them scarce, then, offer at any price..YES, I tryed for many times to buy some of the Linked Ammo offered,Because i wanted one can.. Did not get it..Frustrated...Let me say this along with it,,I have made many trips to walmart here trying to buy some .22lr ammo, for my own use,there are a couple guys show up everyday and line up and BUY it all.. Mostly it is one case of 10---525 packs of bullets, value pack or simular..they pay less than 25.00 a pack and leave, ALMOST, One or more go out on the parking lot and offer it up to people whom will Pay their price of $80.00 a pack..Now this is really illegal, as it is not paying taxes to state, or federal on this unreported income..Plus violation if they sell it to minors?? Yep.... it was so cheep that guys were arriving with trucks to stock up. When I was at the South store during the initial offering a guy blew out the springs on his pick up.
From the look of the warehouse they will be selling loose ammo for the immediate future. Lot's of loose M2 ball, tracer and AP in the warehouse. Here is a picture of a crate of loose tracer orange tip. Have to find the pics of the warehouse full of spam cans and crates. 12821283
