I've decided to have my CMP 308 converted into a Mini-G, but the funds were temporarily reallocated because I couldn't pass on this deal.
2 LNIB or unfired, I haven't fully investigated, Polytech M14S's

Tim,
Do you do barrel work on chrome lined barrels? I think I want to convert one of these to a Scout Carbine length.

Sell one to me and buy a scout carbine.

I'd be selling it for the price of a NIB scout carbine. Not sure anyone would pay that much. Also, having a manufacturer mismatch between the rifle and the carbine would drive me nuts.

The Springfield m-1a versions started at $1440.00 a copy yesterday at LGS...There was a very pretty version of camp Perry rifle there..Dated 2007 with the lettering and carved stock...In all they must have had 20 rifles, including two of the shortest versions..

Have the barrel swapped out for a 18.5 " Criterion . That is what I did on one of my Poly conversions.

Did you swap in a US bolt? I've read that all Polytech bolts are soft and I've also read some bolts are fine. It's hard to tell whose done their homework and who are just repeating what they've heard :/

A Poly--RUMOR that refuses to go away..Maybe to diswade future purchases..Not cheap to convert to usgi parts, But Why, it cuts anyone's ammo..very reliable, but I bought a guage anyway, for piece of mind..so they did sell me something else for it..

Honestly, since firing it to break in, it shoots as well as the winchester that I had before it?? Not bad at all for a COPY...definitely deadly for 400 meters.
