We have had some real crazy weather lately, low temps and high winds
I saw these today while out plowing snow, they are called snow rollers.
From what I have read its a rare phenomenon atleast in this part of the country. Conditions have to be just right the temperature is near freezing and the snow is wet and loose. Strong winds rolls the snow just like you would when building a snowman.
I have never seen or even heard of them before today. These pictured are the shape of a roll of paper towels ,the largest are about twice the size of a roll.
Pretty neat eh?
