Tim, will these work for a .308 mag fed Mini-G?

Yep, it should. Standard parts has them for $119.50 though, so it's not like it's a super steal.

It will but the rear mag catch would have to be modified.

Thanks Tim. I'm trying save wherever I can on this. Would it be cost effective or not to buy one of these to send along, considering the mag catch mod and repark?

I don't think it would if you are looking at deluxe mod with Mini-G. You'd be looking at a $60 credit for having your own trigger housing and rear mag catch. On that note, my M14 mag catch will not work the BM59 mag catch so you'd need to have the BM59 rear catch and the housing. I would then shorten the BM59 rear catch. The cost to shorten your catch would be $0 as the credit covers that.

I just talked to Tim and he was a little confused-he just saw obama on tv and was all bent out of shape. And losing Shirley Temple was just too much. The complete trigger group from Standard Parts is a screaming deal, and will work on both the BM59 and BM14. The only mod on the BM14 is a little fitting on the rear mag catch. Tim apologizes for any inconvenience.

Are BM59 trigger groups better than M1a/M14 standard trigger groups?

In a Garand they are. An M1a trigger group won't work very well at all in a Garand without some modification. I would never use an M1a trigger group in a Garand based on cost alone.
