View Full Version : Front Sight For A Mini G Or Any Other Short Garand

Greg at standard parts sells the BM59 front sights. The blade is super thin-thinner maybe than a NM blade. Gives a great sight picture on a shortened Garand like a Mini G or a BM14. The standard blade is way too thick for the short sight radius of these rifles. Makes a big diff.

Thanks Punch!! I'm scrounging parts to get my garand ready to be sent to Mr. Shufflin for a Mini G conversion.
Would the muzzle break they sell work on the garand as well?

Thanks again!!

The bm59 brake works on the bm59 gas cylinder and garand "proper" brakes work on standard garand gas cylinders.

Thanks Tim. I'm looking at the Smith Brake for my Mini G.
Would it be best to send the brake in with the rifle and let you fit it to the rifle.
Thank you for your time sir!
Hope you are recovering from your surgery in good shape!!

I'll have to read up on that!
Are you selling another brake?
I don't mean to hijack Punch's thread.

Ordered one for my build.
Came in quick, installed it on the rifle, and sent it to Mr. Shufflin today for a Mini G conversion!

Hey Tim if you read this, I bought one of the BM59 front sights for my MiniG conversion. My rifle is at your shop waiting its turn to be converted. Can I send the sight to you to be swapped in when you get to my rifle, or is it better to just wait and do it myself?

At this point it's better to just wait and swap it out yourself Sir.
