Only found 4 today but when one is this big it kinda makes up for numbers:)

Here in Ohio its been a real weird year for them. Not finding numbers yet and they should be in full swing right now.

nor I, but I've got at least a dozen friends that are sending me pics a couple times a week of their harvests. I'm way too dry here. I'll never see one

We have LOTS of those here,they love cow crap!

I have NEVER seen one in the woods...

Friends have told me about finding them turkey hunting, but I'm usually concentrating on something else and not looking for fungus.

My first 3 wifes loved mushrooms.

So are these the kind that put you on a trip or do you just enjoy eating them..Looks like it would make nice soup?l

Slice them ,roll them in flour,salt pepper and pan fry in butter until slightly crispy. They have a taste of there own,cant really describe it. Isnt nothin better

What does "put on a trip" mean?

Some of these fungi have magical powers, they can mess with your mind..But i did a Google search, and found out it was one that looks much the same description..I was very cautious as to eating any, esp one ,I believe to be called the Death angel. Being a boy scout we had studied them, just in case we had to survive out in the woods or frontier..I have not noticed any Morel mushes here in a spell...peace...Og.
