Stock Fit....

Hello Guys,

I have a buddy who picked up a Garand for the local CMP shoots (Garand was not from the CMP). It came with a new CMP stock. It has not been fitted. It shoots fine, but every now and then after the last round the safety cannot be engaged. I seen the rifle, but have not shot it or seen the malfunction he just tells me about it. I'm sure it's stock fit. I tried to find Orlando's thread, but no luck in my 2 minutes of searching.... I'm sure someone here has seen this?

Any direction I can point him in would be great.

.... my bet would be tolerance stacking of trigger housing, safety, and hammer adding up to a need for "more manliness" than is typical to operate that safety.:)

I'm with him. I'm not saying 100% we're right but I aint seeing anything obvious, that's for sure.
