Mackinac island

Has anyone been there. Thinking about taking my wife on our 20th anniversary up there. Advice anyone were to stay?? Peace toolman

I spent my honeymoon there at the Grand Hotel. I have also visited there on 3 other occasions. On your 20th, there is no substitute for the Grand Hotel. It is a dramatic, majestic, awe inspiring, time capsule into the past. You will not have a TV in your room. You will not have a radio in your room. I can't even remember if you will have a phone in your room. You will have glamorous eating events with dramatically dressed waitstaff. You will have views beyond belief from the majestic balcony of the hotel. You will have access to delightful horse drawn carriage rides around the island. You can bicycle anywhere or hike as well. If you golf, there's that. I believe several charter boats operate out of the Island for fishing of Salmon and Lake Trout.

Mackinaw Island, while staying at the Grand Hotel, is an event.
